Embutidos La Unión is a family business located in Malleza, Salas, which has been dedicated since 1951 to the production of Asturian meat products. Since its inception, it has maintained the essence of traditional recipes, which it has combined with the implementation of modern technology and the most demanding quality and food safety standards.
Our sausages are distributed in large hypermarket and supermarket chains, in gourmet and specialized stores, as well as in small family stores throughout the country.
A whole life giving flavor to stews.
The beginnings of the company date back to 1942, in the Buenavista neighborhood, in Pravia, when Ladislao Riesgo founded the first sausage factory. In 1951, a new sausage factory was founded with headquarters in Quintana that, in 1962, with two brothers-in-law as partners, the brothers José Antonio and Francisco Miranda, moved to Malleza.
Ladis, a dealer since his professional beginnings, focused on the purchase of raw materials, José Antonio (Pepe) took charge of the factory and Francisco dedicated himself to commercial work, which he combined with his profession as a practitioner of all the region For a long time, in addition, the company had butcher shops in Avilés and Pravia, run by their wives and sisters, Concha Miranda and Esther Álvarez.
The company has been growing and adapting to the requirements of large-scale distribution and new markets throughout these years, based on effort and dedication, with the brothers Mario and Esther Miranda.
And it is now that the third generation of Embutidos la Unión has taken over with the challenge of maintaining its essence, betting on innovation and digitalization, focused on the customer and society in general.
